On July 3, 2009, the Yongchun Quan Martial Arts Group from Belgium came to our academy in Wudang for a kungfu exchange, which was led by head coach Chen Sisen.
The group exchanged their views and experiences in kungfu learning. Eight members learned one form, Xuanwu quan, from Master Chen. This form is essential for Wudang martial artists in the practice of the Hunyuan Impetus; the practice and control of outbreak force as well as rebound force.
During their stay in the academy, Chen Sisen talked with Master Chen on Daoism and the kungfu of Sanfeng's sect for a long time.
The head coach said, "We come here to explore and study Wudang kungfu, to learn Daoist culture and promote the advancement of wushu ." He also said that Wudang Mountain has beautiful scenery and acknowledged the long history of kungfu here.
Chen Sisen said our academy possesses a group of excellent coaches and capable staff. He said here in Wudang we are fortunate to have the advantage of a natural environment, so it is a perfect place for learning health-preserving and kungfu. He added that Wudang kungfu is admired by countless kungfu fans for its unique characteristics, such as the combination of softness and strength, and motion and stillness. He also said that learning kungfu gives people great pleasure as well as a philosophy of handling affairs.
Upon their departure, head coach Chen Sisen and the members of his group expressed their sincere appreciation to Master Chen. The seven-day academic exchange was brought to an end on July 12th.
